Our SOHO Townhouse project encompased a gut renovation in a New York City landmarked district. The house, orginally Federal, had been gutted by its previous owners in the 1950s. In collaboration with Bromley Caldari Architects, Sparrow Design conceived an idustrial inspired reenvention of the house. The stoop, removed in the 50s, was returned and steel casement windows were added, a nod the the neighborhood's industrial past. The house was enlarged and expanded. A rooftop solarium and green roof was added. The interior design is both controled and playfull. The client loves color and pattern and we sought to balance that with warm woods. The house is desinged for entertainging and to host professional events for the clients business.
