The Nantucket Whaling Captains' House at 43 Pine Street was Sparrow Design's first complete preservation project for which we received the Nantucket Preservation Trust's 2013 Architectural Preservation Award .  All of the wood paneling and plaster in orginal 1809  house were restored.  The old growth pine floors were hand stripped of years of paint.  All six hearths were restored along with a traditonal behive bake oven.  The later additon to the house was modernized with a master suite and decadent chefs kitchen.
